Factors to Consider:

Number of linear feet

This is different from square feet. To get this number, measure each length of the entire gutter system around your house. Add them up and you have the linear footage for your house.

Number of inside and outside corners

If you only have straight runs with no corners it should cost a little less. The reason for this is corners require more gutter guard material and labor time. 

Condition of gutters

1. Check for corrosion, as it won’t go away and will only worsen over time. Even a small rusted spot means it’s time for a replacement. Also, inspect for leaks—while sealant may provide a temporary fix, leaks caused by corrosion will only spread, causing the sealant to eventually fail.
2. Next, ensure your gutters are properly sloped. If the slope is too shallow, water can pool and cause corrosion; too steep, and water may rush through too quickly, leading to clogs.
3. Lastly, check that your gutters and downspouts are properly sized for your roof. A general guideline is 1 square inch of downspout per 100 square feet of roof to ensure proper drainage and prevent overflow. For example, a 2000 square foot roofline would require 20 square inches of downspout. Either four 2×3 inch downspouts or two 3×4 inch downspouts.

Additional challenges

For example, how many stories your house is. Five stories require a 48-foot ladder which needs 3-4 persons for safety. This could potentially impact the labor costs involved.
